For guests
You had to be there.
Peek is the chat for the place you’re actually in. Walk in — the room appears. Walk out — it closes with the doors. What happens in the room stays in the room.
01 · The four moments
From the door to last call.
One arc, every night. The room opens with the doors. You vibe in. You peek across. You say hi. Then the room closes.
Walk in
You're at the bar, the cafe, the lobby. You open Peek. Your room appears — the same room every other guest here is in.
Vibe in
The room is gated. Only people physically here can join. GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth confirm it. No lurkers from across town, no bots, no exes pretending they're in the room.
Peek
See someone? Peek their profile. Your face shows up next to two strangers on their phone — they have to guess which one is you. Get caught looking, on purpose.
Say hi
They guess you correctly, a window opens with a timer. One message. No infinite scroll. No DMs to ghost in. You either say hi now or the moment closes.
02 · The peek game
The feature the app is named after.
You peek
You see someone in the room. You tap their profile. Nothing visible to them yet — but the game starts.
They guess
They get a notification: someone is peeking. Your face appears alongside two decoys. Three faces, one guess. They have to pick.
The timer opens
Guess right and a message window opens with a countdown. One message. If they guess wrong, the game cascades — the decoys get notified the same way.
The mechanic earns the message. You can’t slide into a DM you didn’t earn. You can’t spam a stranger you haven’t made eye contact with. The room watches itself.
03 · Closes at last call
What happens in the room, stays in the room.
No archive
The chat dies when the doors close. There is no inbox to wake up to in the morning. There is no history to mine.
No screenshots circulating
Messages disappear with the room. What you said inside doesn’t follow you home — or get forwarded to a group chat.
You leave, you leave
Walk a block away and the room walks off your phone. No notifications from rooms you’re not in.
Get peek
Walk in. Peek. Say hi.
The app is iOS first. Android close behind.
